TWAPA’s curriculum is designed to re-engage and motivate our pupils.  The breadth and balance of our curriculum is designed to enable our pupils to successfully re-integrate back into mainstream education or allow them to progress onto further courses at Post 16.

In addition to helping our pupils develop academically, we also promote the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils as well as modern British values which prepares them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences when they become young adults.

TWAPA offers a broad and balanced curriculum at all Key Stages;

Key Stage 2

Pupils study Literacy, Numeracy, Humanities, Science, ICT, Food Technology, Art, Sport, PSHCE, and Behaviour for Learning, French and Citizenship.  We also access a Forest School provision at given times throughout the year.

Key Stage 3

There are 25 teaching periods per week, and pupils study English, Mathematics, Science, Religious Education, ICT, Food Technology, Art, Sport, PSHCE, Behaviour for Learning and Citizenship.

Key Stage 4

There are 25 teaching periods per week, and pupil study the following English, Mathematics, Science, ICT, History, RE, Parenting/ PSHCE and Citizenship.

Year 10 can study the following option subjects;  Art, Construction, or Catering.

Year 11 can study; Art, Construction, Catering, Sport or Health and Nutrition.
